“Juice of Beetles” Hand Dyed Yarn

This is listing is for ONE (1) skeins of yarn. Total yards depends on the weight selected. Please be sure to read the complete details of each skein as they are produced using two specialized dye techniques.

Juice of Beetles is an indie dyed yarn on 1 weight available:

60/20/20 Superwash Merino/Nylon/Stellina

Fingering Weight, 3 ply

400 yards, 100 grams

Wool is sourced from South American, mulesing free, and spun in Italy.

Juice of Beetles is a silver base dyed in a kettle  process using a deep rich bluish black. The dye is poured directly into a water bath, because of this the way the dye flows can vary. Each skein is unique. The color way is repeatable HOWEVER every single skein, regardless of dye lot, will vary in how the colors combine and swirl which is what makes hand dyed yarn so unique and beautiful. The colors swirl in the water for a beautiful color pooling effect.

Please remember that while the colorway is repeatable, skeins can always vary from dye lot to dye lot. If you need more than available in shop to match dye lots, please reach out to me and I can set up a custom order to insure matching dye lots. Please be sure to order as much as you need to insure that dye lots remain the same.

Please keep in mind that each yarn base is different and while the same formula is used, each base will absorb and present the dye in different ways.

Although bleeding is very rare, this sometimes occurs in hand dyed yarn. Rest assured that yarn is soaked and rinsed multiple times prior to shipping to insure that any residual bleeding is minimized if any remains at all.
